Nicholasville/Jessamine County Parks & Recreation is now accepting applications for three roles that support community programs, facility operations, and park maintenance. 1. Assistant Director

This full-time, salaried position supports the department’s leadership team and helps oversee daily and long-term operations. The Assistant Director also serves as acting director when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help manage parks, recreation programs, and historic sites

  • Supervise staff and operations at the Riney B Aquatic Center and athletic programs

  • Assist with budgeting, grant applications, and payroll processes

  • Attend public meetings and manage administrative tasks

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in parks and recreation administration

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

2. Recreation Program Supervisor

This full-time position focuses on developing and managing engaging recreation programs for all ages.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2 years of experience in grounds or facility maintenance

  • Ability to work outdoors year-round and lift 25–50 lbs
