Why we’re here
The Jessamine County Environmental/Recycling Department provides waste management for the county by overseeing the county’s Recycling Convenience Center for the disposal and management of specific household waste and hazardous materials.
Guidelines for the Recycling Convenience Center
- The Convenience Center is a drop-off facility only - we do not offer pick-up service
- Customers must unload all material themselves
- All items for recycling and disposal must be at the Center no later than 3:30PM and vehicles must be weighed in by 3:30PM to ensure disposal of debris
- Residential recycling only - we do not accept commercial recycling
- Size of cardboard and recycling pieces should be no larger than 2 feet x 2 feet
- Paper products are accepted including office paper, junk mail and newspaper. Paper products should be clean, dry and loose — never bag recyclables
- The Convenience Center accepts checks, money orders, debit cards and credit cards. No cash accepted

2026 County-Wide Clean-Up
Jessamine County Fiscal Court and Environmental Services will host the 2026 County-Wide Clean-Up from Saturday, April 11 through Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The event will be closed on Sunday, April 12.
This is a free residential debris disposal event for Jessamine County residents. There will be no curbside pick-up, and debris must be delivered to the designated drop-off locations:
Jessamine County and City of Nicholasville residents: 275 Park Drive, Nicholasville
City of Wilmore residents: 305 West Linden Street, Wilmore
