Jessamine County - City of Wilmore Joint Planning and Zoning
The Jessamine County – City of Wilmore Joint Planning Department provides Planning & Zoning and Building Inspection services to the City of Wilmore and unincorporated areas of Jessamine County.
Services we provide
- Develops comprehensive plans for the long-term growth and development of the county as it relates to land use, infrastructure, environmental impact and community services
- Sets zoning ordinances to define land use
- Reviews and approves zoning permits for changes to land use
- Reviews and approves plans for new subdivisions
- Issues building permits for new construction, renovations and other projects
- Enforces and addresses violations of building codes and zoning laws
- Provides information to the public and facilitates meetings and hearings for community education and input
