The 2026 Paint the Town Banner Event is back—inviting artists of all ages and skill levels to help bring color and creativity to Jessamine County’s downtowns.

Mark the day on your calendars for Thursday, June 11th at the Blue Building in the City/County Park in Nicholasville. Painting sessions will be offered at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Participants will once again have the option to create banners for either city: City of Wilmore (24” x 48” banners) or City of Nicholasville (30” x 77” banners).

This year’s theme, “Americana,” celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States in partnership with the Jessamine County Celebrates America 250 Committee.

Applications open Monday, May 11th. Space is limited, so be sure to apply early. Applications will be available at the Jessamine County Courthouse, the Wilmore Municipal Center, and online beginning May 11th.
