Liberty Tree Project

Jessamine County is proud to take part in the Liberty Tree Project, a statewide initiative commemorating 250 years of American history. As part of this effort, tulip poplars, Kentucky’s state tree, will be planted in all 120 counties with support from the Kentucky Division of Forestry.

Local Liberty Tree ceremonies will be held on:

  • Sunday, April 19th, @ 2:00 PM at City/County Park in Nicholasville
  • Sunday, April 26th, @ 4:00 PM at High Bridge Park in Wilmore.

Community members are invited to attend and be part of this meaningful celebration of history, heritage, and growth.
