Why we’re here
The Department serves to address safety concerns and issues within county facilities, to conduct safety inspections of public and private facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, and to promote safety-awareness within the community. Recently the department installed AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and safety signage in the county courthouse as well as a new stair evacuation chair for disabled individuals.
