Jessamine County E911 serves as the enhanced center for routing 9-1-1 cell phone calls from residents/visitors, to the appropriate Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, or Emergency Management agency for the City of Nicholasville and City of Wilmore.
The department provides service coverage to over 56,000 residents within approximately 174 square miles and employs highly-trained and certified dispatchers, including 14 full-time and 4 part-time dispatchers, along with 4 supervisors and several administrative staff members.
GIS can provide layered information on a location to assist in a variety of applications such as finding the best location for a new store, analyzing environmental damage or detecting crime patterns in an area, among other applications.
