Terry Meckstroth

About Magistrate Meckstroth

I received my bachelor’s degree from Asbury College in Spanish and History Education and my Master’s Degree in Education from The Ohio State University.  I taught in the Columbus Public School System for seven years.  I worked at Asbury College as a Registrar, Director of Institutional Research and Assistant Professor of Education.  I worked in the Jessamine County School System for 27 years as a teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal.  I’m currently subbing for administrators in the school system.

I enjoy outdoor activities such as golf and hiking and I treasure times with family and friends. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 49 years. We have four children and 10 grandchildren. It’s an honor and privilege to serve the people of Jessamine County.

I'm a public servant with strong conservative values. I have a proven record of service to the people of the 3rd District. I like to preserve the rural character and green space of the county and hope to keep Harrodsburg Road a scenic highway, keeping our roads safe and well maintained, improving public service and keeping our county fiscally sound. I believe in government of the people, by the people, and for the people. I'm so grateful that you have allowed me the honor and privilege of serving you.
