Why we’re here
The Jessamine County Road and Fleet Departments work to keep county roads safe, functioning and accessible to all citizens. We make sure roads are passable in extreme weather as well as maintaining and repairing the roads as designated by the county. The Fleet Department is responsible for maintaining all county vehicles.
Please contact us to report potholes, a road sign that needs to be replaced, or poor road conditions. We also receive and recycle oil and car batteries from the public.
Services we provide
- Grading gravel roads
- Patching potholes
- Clearing roads of debris
- Addressing flooding issues with roads, bridges, and county culverts
- Salting and plowing roads during winter months
- Painting divider lines
- Maintain signage of county roads
- Erecting and repairing guardrails, barriers and traffic signs
- Issuing Right-to-Work permits for road work such as utility or mowing
- Enforcing road restrictions to prevent road damage
- Recycling vehicle oil and car batteries
