Occupational Tax

The Jessamine County Occupational Tax Office is responsible for the collection of occupational tax (net profit and payroll withholding), insurance premium tax and transient room tax for the Jessamine County Fiscal Court. In addition, we collect net profit tax for the City of Nicholasville. Our goal is to properly administer the tax laws through professional service to taxpayers, confidential handling of information and diligent, equitable collection and enforcement.

The revenue collected for Jessamine County by the Occupational Tax Office supplies funding for County departments that provide emergency services, transportation safety, public protection, humane animal control, planning and zoning administration, recreation programs, tourism and school safety.
